Vascular Conditions

Vascular growths such as hemangiomas and other vascular tumors, and vascular malformations including venous, lymphatic, arteriovenous, and mixed malformations can affect the craniofacial region.  At UCSF the comprehensive evaluation and management of vascular conditions is provided by the Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies Center (BVAC). Our craniofacial surgeons attend BVAC clinics as consultants and patients with vascular conditions who would benefit from multidisciplinary craniofacial evaluation are referred to the Craniofacial Center.  In collaboration with physicians in BVAC, we determine management plans for patients with vascular growths or malformations of the face and head.
